Napoleon is Dynamite

Today Josh and I went to see Napoleon Dynamite. I laughed my butt off. That movie had no plot, made absolutely no sense, and totally rocked! Every once in awhile a movie comes along that is a pure stroke of genius. This movie fits that bill. I loved it! When we came out of the theatre there was a note in my car from Josh's wife Sabrina. She wanted us to go over to Wright State and visit her. I have never been there before so we were like...cool. She works in the theatre department. She gave us a guided tour around the building. You could get lost in this place, it's huge. We were there maybe 20-25 minutes. We got in my car and realized that there was a ticket on my winshield. Apparently I had parked in the student lot and the rent-a-cop on duty decided to give me a ticket. See if I ever go to college there! $25 to park in their sacred parking lot. I will appeal...oh yes I will appeal. So our little adventure to the movies cost me a total of $31.25...what a bummer. But the movie was great. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

Fight Night

Well, tonight is Fight Night at Alternative Edge. For those of you that don't know what Fight Night is: It is a kind of debate night in our Youth Ministry. We put a topic on the table, then let the youth discuss it. Sometimes it is a controvercial topic and sometimes it is just something to discuss. This month we are doing Bush vs. Kerry. In doing my research for this, I had to really dig into the issues to see where each candidate stood. This was very time consuming but it was quite informative. I also looked at a couple of third party candidates. There are so many issues on the table. It seems that this election is a very important one for christians. This should be a good night. I am looking forward to it. I would like to get people past voting because they are Democrat or Republican. I would like them to question why they are voting the way they are. I know most of them can't vote yet but their voice still counts in my book. This election seems to be affecting the youth as well...interesting. I have seen more youth involvment in this election than I have ever seen. That is encouraging to me...to see teens speak out about what they believe in...even if I don't always agree with them. Well, I'm out...we'll see what the outcome of Fight Night is tonight.

For The Girls

As a Youth Pastor, I am always trying to protect the purity of my female students. I try to teach them that their body is not a toy created for a guy's amusement. That they are a jewel in its purest form in God's eyes. I know this comes off as being a prude sometimes to them. But I know what my thought process was like as a young teenager. I know how I viewed girls, and I'm sure that thought process hasen't changed all that much with the young men in this generation. Anyways, sometimes a young lady will say something that just floors me. Not that I don't expect it coming from them but that it moves me to hear words like these come from the mouth of a young child of God. This person was dealing with a situation with a guy. It wasn't a pretty situation and one that she removed herself from as soon as she could. She then ended her story with these words: "He (meaning God) whispered louder in my ear today than any man ever could." I thought , "Wow!" That is so awesome. You know something...God has a way of showing Himself in the oddest of situations. Speaking to us in the weirdest ways...Just to show us that He loves us. I'm out...

Here They Go Again

Why is it that these terrorists over in Iraq feel that they are doing God a favor by killing innocent people. When did God say, "I think today I want you to show the world what a coward you are and kidnap some inncocent people. Then I want you to behead them when you don't get your way." What a bunch of freaks. These guys are such a discredit to God. They make God look like such an ogre and a people hater. God is everything opposite of what these idiots stand for. They are too afraid to target our military because they know they would get squashed. Instead, they pick out people that they know are unarmed and are innocent because they feel like they can tug on our sentimental strings. People are yelling saying, "why don't we give them what they want to prevent more deaths." Well heck, let's just invite them over for dinner, seeing as they are God fearing people and all. Bunch of crack monkeys if you ask me! That is my personal opinion. These guys will never stop. Their demands for release of prisoners is just a front to cover up the truth. They hate everything about us, and they will do anything in their power to destroy us. People say, "man if we would have just stayed out of the conflict over there none of this would be happening." I think people fail to remember 9/11. They had been planning that for years. It was just a matter of time before they started their crap over here. I like nukes. Don't hate me for it.

Jesus Freak

Man, I started reading the book Jesus Freak. It is awesome. If you have never read it, I highly recommend it. It was put out back in 1999 I think. It has taken me a long time to pick it up because usually books like this just hack me off. I get mad and want to kill communists and stuff. That's not very Christianlike, so I shy away from those kinds of books. Usually they are pretty boring too. Written by old men who knew Julius Caesar personally. I can't put this book down. It is so encouraging. I mean to think that these people laid down thier physical lives instead of denying Christ makes me look like a wimp when I whine about not getting my Christian way. Definately made me check myself. Anyway, it is a great book.

Does anyone have any depends?

Man, I am definately getting old. I was out playing football with some of the Youth Group on Sunday night. My leg starts hurting me a little later. By the time I got home, it was hurting pretty bad. I wake up the next morning and I can barely move it. Every time that I bend it, I get intense pains in my knee. I'm like, man we weren;t even playing tackle. This is pathetic. Let me go take my Metimucil and my Geritol. Pretty soon I'll be peeing in my pants and telling about how I can't hear out of one ear because of the concussion gernade that went off next to me in the war. What war? See that's the thing. I can't remember because my memory is gone too. Oh man, I always dreaded the day that I would realize that I am getting old. That's it. I'm staying in and playing ESPN 2K5. Of course I can't complain. I ran 2 touchdowns so I guess I still have my pride. wait a second. I forgot...I Am All That Is Man! Yes I will live to play another day.

Netscape Bites

I have come to the conclusion that netscape is communist. For those of you out there that use Netscape for the PC as your browser, I'm sorry. No actually I am not, it stinks. I am setting up a computer for my wife. I am trying to bring her out of the dark ages. She doesn't want much to do with computers because she says that they are a waste of time. Actually, in most cases it is the people that are on them that are the waste of time. Anyway, I was trying to set this thing set up and it is using Netscape as its browser. I wanted to set her up a hotmail account. Nope, Netscape does not like hotmail. So I said no problem. I'll just download the latest version of Internet Explorer. Nope again, Netscape doesn't like Internet Explorer. I am not a computer genius by any means, so needless to say, I went to bed frustrated that night. I use 3 browsers on my computer. I am beginning to love a browser called Firefox
Another one that I use is called Safari
. Safari is only compatible with Macs though. Then I also have Internet Explorer. So I still don't have her computer online yet. I need to get that done tonight.

Missing Russia

For some reason I am finding myself really missing Russia today. Every once in awhile I feel like my heart is over there. I know that God is not calling me to move over there or anything like that. It's just that I feel connected with that country. I really can't wait to go back. I can't explain how I feel. I guess you would just have to go over there and experience it for yourself. Here are a couple pics we took while we were over there. I'll put more in from time to time.

Russia is such an awesome place to visit. If you ever get a chance to go, I would highly recommend it. Well I'm out of here for now.

Terrorists Suck

Ok, this makes me sick. I'm going to go off on a tangent for a moment so bear with me. I've been following the crap that has been going on in Russia for a few days. If you haven't heard yet, here is the rundown. These terrorist dirtbags get a bright idea to storm into a school and take it hostage. Since it was the first day of school there were alot of people there. so they are making their demands and killing kids and their parents left and right. This has bee going on since Wednesday. soldiers were finally able to seize the school when for whatever reason, one of the bombs that the terrorists were holding went off. At that time, some of the hostages took off. Then, the attackers opened fire on them, killing many of them. Soldiers then moved in and tried to take control of the building. I have not yet been able to get definate numbers of dead. Last I read, it was around 150. I understand fighting for a cause. William Wallace was not the most peaceful person in the world, but he was fighting for freedom. These fags spit out their demands, say that they are fighting for freedom, then kill a bunch of kids. What kind of wus does that? I'll tell you what kind...One that deserves to die. I don't have alot of mercy for people like that. That takes a heartless piece of crap of a person to do something like that...That's allI got to say about that. You can check out the story by going to

Surfing Like Superman

This is my parallel universe that I post in. I feel like I have split personalities. Like I'm trying to be two different people...Wierd!? We are now surfing the web at high speeds. We now have our roadrunner. Man, it is awesome. I spent most of the morning downloading much needed updates on my computer. I went to a site that I haven't been to in a long time because it has alot of pics and took forever to load. Now thy pop right up. Great! Check out my review section. I'll try to get something up about it soon. If you want to check it out go to Forgotten Ohio. It's a great site. This guy explores abandoned buildings and sites around Ohio. It's cool if you like urban legends that surround some different places. You know, supposed haunted buildings and things like that. Some of the places are just deserted. Really cool! You can go there even if you don't have high speed. I'm just impatient about loading times. Well, I'm out of here to surf the web like Superman. Oh, by the way...You're welcome Rach...Check out your blog.

Testing...Testing...Is this thing on?

Alright, I'm running a parallel site along with my xanga. Why you ask. Because a colleauge of mine says that blogger is better than Xanga. I will run them simultaniously to see which one I like better. I was going to order Xanga premium because I like the extra features. This site already has some of those features. So, we will see...Who's blog reigns supreme...I threw that in for some of you Iron Chef fans.
