I would really feel sorry for him if I didn't know that he went two days (two days mind you) not knowing that he had a nail lodged up in his brain. He apparently shot himself in the mouth with his nail gun but he thought that he just hit himself in the mouth with the back of the tool. Maybe he should have read the directions and paid closer attention to the part that said "point away from face". So two days later when he was complaining about a head and toothache his girlfriend talked him into going to the dentist office where she worked to get an xray, and what do you know. To their surprise...This guy is either a real trooper or really stupid. The amazing thing is that this guy lived and no brain damage...well, I'll let you insert a joke there...lol. It takes all kinds in this little place we call earth. If we didn't have people that did things like this, we probably wouldn't have anything to talk about now would we.

Dare 2 Share

We went to our annual Dare 2 Share conference this weekend. I would have to say that it was quite enjoyable. The drama on Friday night was awesome and the movie clips were great as always. Saturday night they had a concert with the David Crowder Band. Man, that was incredibe. That was the first tim that I have seen them live and I must say I was very impressed. They put on such a good concert. They mostly did praise and worship stuff but it was awesome. They did a version of Amazing Grace that sent chills up my spine it was so annointed. I will definately have to see them again! There was a Japanese Anime convention at the Columbus Convention Center at the same time as our conference. That was really fun!. People were dressed up in all kinds of cartoon and video game characters. There were some costumes that just blew my mind they were so good. That also opened up an incredibe witnessing field. Here we were surrounded by gothics and alternative teens. It was awesome! We were able to speak and witness to quite a few of them. Good times. So I think that was it. I vegged out pretty much all day Sunday afternoon. We took the kids to Los Mariachis (my favorite restaraunt) for lunh and went home and took a nap. I was so exhausted from the conference. "How Cake" That's for the folks that rode with me...Haha!

Thunderstorm In January

It is January and there is a thunderstorm rumbling outside. I am finding that odd. It's pouring down. I think I am going to need a canoe to get home tonight. Well, at least it's not snowing. This would probably dump another couple of feet on the city. I think I would rather it rain personally. At least with the rain I don't have to shovel and dig my car out of a snow drift. I think the next time it snows like that I will just wait until it all melts from around my car, then I will go back to work. Yep, that sounds like a plan.

We are having our staff dinner tonight and it smells great. It smells like chicken cacciatore. The ladies are in there preparing it as I write. So...I think I will go and see if I can "inspect" the food. We wouldn't want anyone to get food poisoning or anything like that.

Some New Stuff

I played around in blogger today and made some changes to my site. See if you can guess what changes I made. The person that guesses them all gets a cookie. Well, not really but let's see if you can figure them out. I am liking blogger more and more. I can do so much more than I could in xanga. Don't get me wrong, I like xanga but I like it here more. I feel like...I am home...(in a sentimental voice)...they make me feel loved...and cared for. Haha!

I am watching the rain ouside of my office window turn to snow. I was watching the news this morning and it said that Urbana was in a state of emergency because of all the ice. I think it was Urbana anyways. This weather has been crazy this year. I can say one thing...I'm glad I'm not still a phone man. That would suck having to work out in this weather. I am warm and cozy in the confines of my dimly lit office...don't hate me because I am warm.

Feeling Better

O.K this cheered me up after reading th articles about the tsunami. I find it comforting that I could possibly whoop on Jason and Freddie...haha!

Trying to grasp it

You know it's funny how things can affect our way of thinking. I think alot of times I take my life for granted. I can sit here and stare out of the window of my office and complain about the weather, or how stupid people can be, or school budget cuts...etc. But I couldn't fathom having to wake up knowing that I have lost my wife or my children. Everytime I read an article about the tsunami that hit Asia my stomach begins to hurt. I feel like I could get sick. Seeing the bodies and the destruction doesn't get to me as much as seeing the people grieving because they have no clue where their family is. It makes me realize how good I have it. I can go home to my nice house and hold my family in my arms. Why does this effect me in such a way that I feel like tears could come pouring out if I let them. I know things happen for a reason, but it still hurts to see those lives torn apart.

Too late...Too early???

It's 4:30 in the morning. We are into 2005 now and we are at our lock-in. Some of the people are asleep. Some of them are still wired from all of the caffeine they had. I am getting sleepy but I am going to try and make it all night. There are sleep casualties laying all over the floor...interesting. I will go for now. I think there is a Starbucks Doubleshot in the refrigerator calling my name. I'm out!
